The antiquity of the Podere l’Aione settlement is such as to lend its name to the road that links the Scansano hills to the coastal villages. It is not far from Scansano and has access to the Via Scansanese. It is in a panoramic spot overlooking the Tuscan archipelago and the Maremma. The farm was renovated in 2002 and a vineyard and olive grove were planted. Bees are kept and the honey sold directly from the farm. The farm complex comprises a typical cluster of buildings which have been carefully restored and provide lodgings in four independent buildings.
