In the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, the 39th edition of "La Castagna in Festa" returns — an event celebrating the IGP Chestnut of Monte Amiata, the undisputed star of the autumn season.
📅 weekends of October 17–19 and October 24–26 in Arcidosso (GR)
The historic cellars of the old town will open to the public for lunches, dinners, and tastings of local dishes — many featuring chestnuts — all paired with excellent local wine. The experience is enriched by live music inside the cellars, historical re-enactments, artisan markets, and traditional shows. Also not to be missed is the official food court, set up at the Nido di Fate on Via Tibet, open on Saturdays and Sundays for both lunch (from 12:00 p.m.) and dinner (from 7:00 p.m.).
🍷 2025 Theme: The Glass Is Always Half Full
This year’s motto reflects the spirit of the event: positivity, togetherness, and a return to simple pleasures. Glasses raised in the cellars become a symbol of shared joy and community between locals and visitors alike.
The Municipality of Arcidosso, in collaboration with the local Pro Loco association, has introduced several improvements to enhance the guest experience:

🚌 Free shuttle service available on Saturdays and Sundays (departing from the monument in Castel del Piano, with a stop at Cappuccini and arrival in Arcidosso)
