Glamping Il Sole – A special stay in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma

In the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, in Civitella Paganico, Glamping Il Sole offers an original holiday experience surrounded by the peace of an 85-hectare farm, rolling hills and beautiful countryside views.

Created through the passion of Stefano and Eleonora, the glamping site features six exclusive, handcrafted accommodations, each with its own character. From the treehouse to the Hobbit House, from the geodesic dome to the Native American-style teepee, every accommodation offers a chance to reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort or privacy.

All accommodations include a private bathroom with shower, bed linen and towels, Wi-Fi and dedicated outdoor relaxation areas. Each also has a private hot tub, a wooden tub filled with hot water, available by reservation for an additional fee.

Dining, relaxation and experiences

The day begins with a buffet breakfast, while dinner features dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, including produce from the farm.

One of the most memorable experiences is the outdoor campfire-style dinner under the stars, hosted in each accommodation’s private outdoor area, where guests can cook over a grill and spend an evening surrounded by nature.

The glamping site also offers private aperitifs, massages and wellness treatments, and guided 4x4 excursions to discover Mount Amiata and the surrounding villages.

Outdoor campfire-style dinners are available during the warmer months, weather permitting; other activities are arranged upon request.

Glamping Il Sole is open all year round. Pets are not allowed.

Hobbit House – The magic of the Shire in Maremma

Inspired by The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit House is built into the hillside, with cosy interiors evoking the atmosphere of the Shire.

It features a double bed, a single bed, a private bathroom with shower, a minibar and an electric fireplace with rocking chairs. Outside, a private area is ideal for relaxing in the hot tub or enjoying an outdoor dinner under the stars.

Treehouse – Sleep 8 metres above the ground

Built around a large oak tree, approximately 8 metres above the ground, this unique treehouse offers elevated views of the Tuscan Maremma landscape.

It features a double bed, a single bed, a private bathroom with shower, heating and an outdoor relaxation area. Guests can also enjoy a warm soak in their private hot tub, surrounded by the peace of the countryside.

La Panoramica – Sunsets and stars above Maremma

La Panoramica offers wonderful views of the Maremma hills and Tuscan countryside sunsets, in a setting featuring fairy-tale-inspired details.

It features a double bed, a single bed, a private bathroom, air conditioning and heating, and a minibar. Outside, a private area is perfect for an aperitif at sunset, a soak in the hot tub or an outdoor dinner.

Geodesic Dome – Sleep beneath the stars

The Crystal Geodesic Dome is a hemispherical structure with almost entirely transparent walls, offering an immersive nature experience and stunning views of the starry sky.

Climate-controlled and suitable for stays all year round, it features a double bed, a single bed and a private bathroom with shower. Outside there is an additional shower, a relaxation area and a private hot tub.

Teepee – A retreat inspired by Native American tents

Located on a panoramic hilltop, the Teepee is a spacious structure inspired by traditional Native American tents, with comfortable, generously sized interiors.

It features a king-size double bed with a memory-foam mattress, two single beds, a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning and heating, and a minibar. Outside there is a solar-heated shower, a double hammock and a hot tub with hydromassage and chromotherapy.

Hagrid’s House – A stay between fantasy and nature

Inspired by Hagrid’s hut from the Harry Potter saga, this unique accommodation recreates a fantasy-world atmosphere amid the peaceful Maremma countryside.

Carefully crafted down to the smallest detail, it features a double bed, two single beds, a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning and heating, and a minibar. Outside there is a private relaxation area with a hot tub and the option of an outdoor dinner during the warmer months.
